Generally, appointments last about an hour. It may range from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Every injury and person heal differently. While we are here to get you back to your best in the shortest amount of time possible, we cannot put an exact timeframe on it.
In many cases a same day appointment is available. If you are not able to come in the same day we will be able to see you within 48 hours.
On your first visit you will meet your therapist. You will have a one on one evaluation with the Physical Therapist to go over your history and nature of the injury. In some cases your exercise program will start that day. The next visit is when you will begin your routine.
You should bring:
- Prescription from your doctor
- Any relevant tests that you have in your possession (X-Rays, MRI, CAT Scan, EKG’s, etc.)
- Your insurance card
- Your driver’s license
- Any paperwork that you may have completed (patient forms can be found under Patient Information)
Your clothing should fit loosely around the area of the injury. The therapists will need access to the injury. For example, if you have a shoulder injury it would be best to have a tank top or loose fitting shirt. For a knee injury it would be best to have shorts or loose fitting pants or sweat pants.
Comfortable rubber soled shoes or Tennis shoes are a good option for shoes.
